Sencha Oku-Kirishima (Kirishima, Japan)
An emerald green sencha from the volcanic mountains of Kirishima, Southern Kyushu, which are surrounded by the ocean. Deep flavour, beautiful aroma, almost as full bodied as a gyokuro tea, therefore also called ‘Tennen Gyokuro’, meaning natural gyokuro. First flush.
Water temperature: 60-80 degrees celsius. Use 2-3gr per cup. Infuse for 1-2 minutes. Pour all tea till the last drop so you can make a good second round (infuse for 30 seconds) with the same tea leaves.
